Let Lindy introduce you to the Heylo espresso module

Heylo espresso module

If you have worked with semi-automatic espresso machines before, you will recognize it all. If not, and you would like to know more, you can dive into it on our program Semi-automatic Espresso.

Let Lindy Brogaard guide you through espresso brewing with Heylo

Brew coffee: Step-by-step

  • Grab your portafilter and put freshly ground coffee in it.
  • In our setup, we grind the coffee directly into the portafilter by weight. Alternatively, you grind the coffee and pour it into your portafilter.
  • Then you tamp the coffee. We use a PuqPress to achieve a consistent result every time.
  • Insert the portafilter into the group head.
  • Select the recipe you want to use on the display. You switch between recipes by turning the knob.
  • There is a remote control on the side of the machine. Here you can control everything very easily.
  • Press the brewing head. The coffee will now brew.
  • There is a 2-3 second wait before brewing begins, during which the Heylo brings the entire system up to temperature.
  • After brewing, always remember to knock out the coffee grounds so that you have a completely clean and dry machine. Doing so ensures that there are no coffee oils that burn inside giving a bad taste.
  • You can then put the portafilter back in place or make a new cup of espresso.
