Cleaning: Step-by-step

To keep your Caye Smart X clean, you will need two cleaning products:

• Caye Milk Cleanser Tabs (100 pcs.)
• Caye Coffee Cleaning Tabs (30 pcs.)

You use one Milk Cleaning Tab with each cleaning, and the machine automatically dispenses one Coffee Cleaning Tab when cleaning. We recommend purchasing 3 months worth of cleaning products at a time. This would be equivalent to 1 x Milk Cleaning Tab + 3 x Coffee Cleaning Tabs.

Daily cleaning:

• The machine itself asks to be cleaned once a day - it is optimal to run the cleaning in the afternoon.
• If you want to initiate the cleaning manually, you do so by going up to the form menu (press the 3 lines in the corner) and selecting ' Complete Clean '
• The machine first asks you to take both milk hoses and a milk cleaning tab and place them in a cleaning container - you can find the milk hoses in the refrigerator under the machine.
• The grounds container must then be emptied and then placed back in the machine.
• The cleaning cycle will now start automatically, which typically takes about 15 minutes for the machine to complete.

After the cleaning cycle:

• Empty the grounds tray again, which now contains cleaning fluid.
• Wipe the milk hoses with a wet cloth and place them back in the milk.
• You press 'Confirm' to confirm that the daily cleaning program is complete.

Additional cleaning as needed

• The coffee outlet and the grid can both be cleaned with a damp cloth. The coffee outlet is held in place with magnets and can be easily removed by hand. The grid can also be easily removed when the steam arm is lifted.
• The steam arm comes with a bottle cleaner for cleaning. You start by unscrewing the tip of the steam arm, then unscrew the entire steam arm and clean it with the bottle cleaner (use soap if necessary). The thermometer on the machine can be cleaned with a wet cloth, and the steam arm is screwed back onto the machine in the same way.
