Meet CORE
Our IMPACT series has been renamed CORE, and it is time we give the series the attention it deserves. We are doing this by focusing more on the high quality and the individual flavor profiles.
Why did we change the name?
We have chosen to change our name from IMPACT, as it has gradually become a bit of a worn-out word. When we changed the series name from SIMPLY to IMPACT back in 2023, it was because no coffee is truly simple. IMPACT represented our mission with the series: to have a positive impact on the coffee industry.
However, over time, the word impact has unfortunately become commonplace, and in many places, you can find it without any documentation of what kind of impact is actually being referred to.
CORE is an expression of the fact that the coffees are close to the core of what we want to achieve with CleverCoffee - both our values and our high quality. And it should be clear that we can, and will, do both.
A shift in focus
With this name change, we also want to shift our focus from responsible coffee to geeky specialty coffee. Our coffee naturally still has the same positive impact as before, and we will not stop being transparent in our ongoing fight for better conditions for the farmers. Our coffee is brewed by geeks who want to create high-quality taste experiences - in other words, something that is super delicious for every coffee lover.
All our coffee is specialty coffee, and this also applies to the CORE series. The term "specialty coffee" covers the quality of the coffee and means that it has been grown, harvested, processed, and roasted meticulously and with care. It is based, among other things, on a cupping scale with points from 1-100 created by the Specialty Coffee Association. When a coffee scores over 80 points on the cupping scale, it is defined as specialty coffee. And all our coffees do that - including the CORE series.
Chocolate Crush
Our most popular coffee
Chocolate Crush is a Brazilian specialty coffee with a smooth and rich flavor profile, where you will encounter notes of chocolate and caramel. The coffee comes from the Sancoffee cooperative in the Campo das Vertentes region – a group of dedicated producers who work with a clear focus on quality and consideration throughout the entire production process.
Sweet Honey
Organic coffee
Fantastic taste and organic quality make this coffee a true crowd-pleaser.
Sweet Honey is Certified Organic, which means it is completely free of synthetic fertilizers and pesticides. Furthermore, it is shade-grown in the mountain forests of Honduras, which takes the surrounding agriculture into account and can promote biodiversity.
Shade-growing also gives the coffee a lovely taste.
We trade Sweet Honey directly with the agricultural cooperative Cafesmo in Honduras. This means that we avoid the middleman while at the same time ensuring payment above market price to the cooperative with full transparency.
Dark Caramel
Perfect for espresso
Dark Caramel is roasted slightly darker, providing a powerful taste with notes of caramel and hazelnut, which pairs very well in an espresso with milk - e.g., cappuccino, latte, etc.
CORE Chocolate Powder 01
Our two cocoas are also part of our CORE series. They are both made in collaboration with skilled and recognized chocolate manufacturers who share our values regarding both quality and responsibility.
Our CORE Chocolate Powder 01 is made in collaboration with Mellow, a Danish company that produces chocolate of the purest and finest quality without compromise.
CORE Chocolate Powder 02
Our two cocoa products are also part of our CORE series. Both are produced in collaboration with skilled and renowned chocolate makers who share our values regarding both quality and responsibility.
We also offer an organic cocoa—CORE Chocolate Powder 02—created in partnership with the Danish producer Mark Hermann Chocolate. As with Mellow, the quality here is exceptional, and the production is driven by a commitment to improving conditions for farmers through fairer pay.
