CleverCoffee has got its very own cocoa powder. It is organic and made from 55% cocoa from the Dominican Republic. The cocoa beans are grown in a forest farm, where the cocoa plants grow in the shade of other trees. This entails, among other things, better conditions for the local animal and plant life.
To fight poverty, the cocoa is traded directly with the cocoa farmer, who has received 82% more in payment than the market price.
IMPACT Chocolate Powder has a rich and creamy flavor profile with a light fruitiness.

We like to keep it simple, which is why our cocoa powder consists of only 3 quality ingredients:
- 55% organic Barrancoli cocoa from Zorzal Cocoa
- Organic cane sugar
- Sea salt from Kattegat
It gives you a rich and creamy taste experience with a light fruitiness.

Recipe
How to make your cocoa
- Put two teaspoons (14 g) of powder into the cup.
- Add warm milk (160-200 ml) of your choice and stir.
- Top with a dollop of whipped cream, if desired.
A good tip: You can dissolve the powder in a little warm water before adding the milk.

" When I first came across Zorzal Cocoa, it was through Omar Caraballo, who is a fermentation expert at Zorzal. At the time, we were working on a fermentation project with a customer where we were going to test some different methods during the cocoa fermentation. Omar generously shared his vast knowledge and helped experiment during the fermentation – something that really caught my interest and showed their skill and passion for cocoa.
Following this collaboration, we purchased our first sack of their cocoa about two years ago and were immediately impressed by the quality and taste. In addition to their expertise in cocoa fermentation, Zorzal is also part of an inspiring project in the Dominican Republic, where they combine cocoa production with nature conservation. Their work at Reserva Zorzal, a private bird sanctuary, is a model of how sustainability and agriculture can go hand in hand. They preserve 70% of their area as “forever wild” forest, supporting biodiversity and providing a safe habitat for rare bird species such as the Bicknell’s Thrush.
